
On April 16, the "Friendly Shandong Remarkable Shandong" 2024 South Korea presenting event was held in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, to showcase the charm of "Friendly Shandong" and share the excellence of "Remarkable Shandong".
Simultaneously, the launch ceremonies of “Shandong-South Korea Friendship: China in the New Era Lecture Hall” and the photography event “Eyes on Exchange” were held at the event site.

At the event, the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism promoted cultural resources, abundant products, local customs, and the hospitality of people in Shandong Province. Shandong Radio and TV Station presented its information on production, media convergence, creative transformation innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture, and international communication. Yantai, Jining, and Weihai promoted the natural and cultural landscapes of their regions while highlighting the valuable friendship between China and South Korea.

A signing ceremony was held on-site, during which the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with the Incheon Tourism Organization and the Korea JoongAng Daily, and issued the "Friendly Shandong" tourism ambassador certificate; Shandong Radio and Television Station signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Aju Press and Newspim; The Dazhong Daily Group issued the appointment letter of "Shandong Handicraft Overseas Recommender"; The Shandong Fashion Association and Chinese Organization in South Korea jointly unveiled the establishment of the Korean Youth Hanfu Society.
At the event site, there are four interactive exhibition areas that showcase the best of Shandong province, highlighting China’s mega projects, the natural beauty and intangible cultural heritage of Shandong province, and Shandong cuisine. Korean visitors can experience the hospitality and abundance of Shandong through guided tours, on-site demonstrations, and tasting experiences. Additionally, there is a photo exhibition area that showcases the diverse seasons, abundant resources, hospitable people, and rapid development of Shandong in the new era. In addition, a theme forum for the media was held, where program producers from mainstream media outlets in South Korea and Shandong Radio and Television Station discussed the application and exploration of AI technology in documentary films, media convergence, as well as in-depth exchanges on the creation of high-quality programs and future development trends in the media industry.
Representatives from Chinese institutions in South Korea, representatives from the Association on South Korea-China Friendship in the New Era, the South Korea-China Cultural Friendship Association, the South Korea-China Regional Economic Association, and other relevant associations, representatives from major South Korean media outlets such as KBS, Aju Daily, Kyungin Broadcasting, Korea JoongAng Daily, Newspim, and Aju Press, representatives from Xinhua News Agency, China News Service's branch in South Korea, representatives from Shandong-based companies in South Korea, and representatives from relevant departments of Shandong Province, totaling more than 200 people, attended the event.
