Pang Sijia, a lecturer at the School of Literature and Journalism, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, is using paper-cutting to build a bridge for cross-cultural exchange. During a recent China-Korea exchange event, she displayed her paper-cut artwork of Korea's "National Treasure No. 1" — Namdaemun (Sungnyemun) — which left Korean teachers and students deeply impressed.

This post-90s girl, who studied in Kenya and France, has conducted hundreds of paper-cutting exchange activities worldwide over the past 14 years. She has held architectural paper-cutting exhibitions in France, exchanged works with Swiss paper-cutting artists and facilitated cross-cultural dialogues, and connected paper-cutting enthusiasts from around the world through social media.

"Paper-cutting is a cultural carrier of folklore, history, and emotion," Pang Sijia says.
