On August 4, the 2026 China-Africa Friendship Tour-Shandong Meets Africa Cultural Gala officially opened in Jinan, Shandong. Jointly hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the People’s Government of Shandong Province, the event was held under the theme “Beauty and Harmony Across Shores and Seas.” During the gala, a series of featured events were also held, including the Shandong-Africa Treasure Market, the Shandong-Africa Book Exhibition, and the Mountains and Seas Rendezvous: Shandong-Africa Culture and Tourism Matchmaking Conference.
